Wedding Fever

First off...I attended a BEAUTIFUL wedding this weekend!

This is the first friend out of my group of high school friends to get married! She was stunning! I totally cried like a baby when she walked down the aisle with her father!  It was precious and priceless.

I am also VERY grateful for 3 lives that were spared the night before the wedding.  Sarah's sister, neice and brother in law where in a very bad crash after the rehearsal dinner.  Their car was t-boned and flipped twice landing on it's roof.  The 5 year old neice walked away without a SINGLE scratch, B-I-L had some trauma to his hand and her sister/maid of honor broke her collarbone.   Other than that..they are perfectly fine.  PRAISE THE LORD.

Anywho, Sarah and Adam's wedding was gorgeous and I can't believe that she is now a wifey!! :)

And this is wedding #2 of 3 for 2010.  I've got the get-hitched-itch bad.  It's funny.  I have my WHOLE freakin' future wedding planned in a little secret folder on my laptop.  It's kinda sad....kinda funny....but at least I know what I want! :) Haa.  Now all I need is for THE BOY to catch this little fever.  Patience is virtue though!

The next wedding I'm going to is 10/10/10!

I have beautiful friends!

Recap of my Bad Week

Friday- was supposd to be the start of my WHOLE weekend off. Nope....it was my ONE day off.  Got called in to work TWICE.  Saturday night and Sunday night.

Saturday consisted of sleeping all day long.  Then I worked all night.

Sunday consisted on sleeping all day long. Then I worked all night

Monday consisted of sleeping all day long. Then I worked all night.  And I found out at 7am that a friend of the family passed away tragically Monday afternoon, leaving 2 beautiful kids and a loving husband.  Even though I was completely exhausted, why and how she died kept me awake until 11 am on Tuesday. I will not go into details because I don't know who reads this.

Tuesday consisted of restless sleep and a night shift from hell.  I got to work at 7pm and didn't sit down until 2am. I got THREE new admissions which were total care and I couldn't even concentrate on anything but what happened on Monday.

Wednesday consisted of trying to sleep just enough to get back on day schedule for 2 days, but I couldn't sleep again. One good part of Wednesday was that I got to hang out with my best friend Amanda who also works nights. We went shopping and to a movie.

Today was hard.  The funeral was heartbreaking.  The message was beautiful though and really makes me appreciate each breath I take and each new day that I'm given and that tomorrow is not for certain.

"You never know how strong you are till being strong is the only choice you have."
I found this quote on her 15 year old daughter's facebook page.

Out of Whack

My sleep cycle is completely out of whack thanks to night shift. Night shift by far has way more pro's than cons than day shift. Still...there's some major adjusting that needs to be done. I was SUPPOSED to have this weekend off. Nope....I got called in twice. I work tonight and tomorrow night and I'm on the schedule to work monday and Tuesday. And... because I thought I wouldn't be working this weekend... I slept just enough on Friday to be able to get back on a day schedule. Grrreat. I'm tired already. 7am better come fast.

Award!

I got another award!

This time it's from sweet (future RN) Kelly Lynn at Lifes a Beach

She's a nursing student from the coast of North Carolina and her blog is precious.

The rules are to link up to the person who gave it to you, thank them, list 7 things about yourself, and then pass it along to other bloggers whose blogs you love and want to highlight!

1. I'm from beautiful South Carolina! Nothin' could be finer than to be in Carolina!

2. I graduated from the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) in May of 2010 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing.  I passed the NCLEX in June, and I work as a registered nurse at a Post-Acute Care facilty.

3. I've dated my boyfriend Dave for 6 years.  We met in 10th grade and began dating the summer in between 10th and 11th grade.   He goes to Clemson ( USC's biggest rival).  We don't speak to each other one day a year....the Saturday after Thanksgiving!

4. I love photography.  I may not be creative at anything else artsy....but I think I have a good eye with a camera. I finally got my first Digital SLR for graduation.

5. I drive a black 2002 Jeep Liberty! My old car (2002 Nissan) was totaled on vacation last August in a hit and run accident.

6. I'm 22 going on 3.  I still sleep with my Teddy and Gaa-Gaa.  I stole Teddy from my 22 year old aunt when I was 3 and never gave him back.  Gaa Gaa is a silky slip that I somehow became attached to when I was little too.  Teddy and Gaa used to be separated entities but ever since Gaa Gaa almost got flushed during a midnight potty run when I was 8, Gaa Gaa is worn by Teddy.  Weird...I know!

7. I have a 'Million Dollar' mouth and have more than enough reasons to be afraid of anything flying towards my face.  I think my biggest fear is getting my teeth knocked out.  Anything having to do with teeth getting broken makes me gag!

I'm passing this award along to the following lovely ladies-

Boys of Fall

Happy September Y'all!  I loooove FALL!

Anywhoo...

Kenny Chesney completely took me back to high school and college with this beautiful magnificent creation of his.  The video is ridiculously good...and will bring a tear to your eye ( maaaybe)

Please watch it.

It literally sends chills up my spine, because I remember every Friday night in high school I was in those stands cheering on Dave and the rest of the guys.  I miss it so much. Football is a HUGE part of my town.  We have the #1 high school player in the nation right now.....and last weekend TWO teams from my home town played each other and were featured on ESPNU.

Oh...and better yet...
South Carolina's opening game is tomorrow night ! Steve Spurrier is in the video at 4:19.

 GO GAMECOCKS!

"Young girls will dream about the boys of Fall"

Homecoming- Fall 2006.

Dave is #50, his twin Dan is #33.
My dear friend John who passed away last June is in between them.

Watch and enjoy and I hope that the memories come flooding your mind...or that this just pumps you up for football season!
