I came home from the mountains on Sunday. We had a wonderful time. The weather was a little too hot for the mountains.
Dave's Mom, sister and I went to this beautiful winery in Banner Elk, NC called the Banner Elk Winery & Inn. We didn't go to the one I spoke of in my last post...it was too far away.
We tasted six wines and walked around the vineyard. Soooo pretty! I ended up getting a Sevyal Blanc. It was the first wine we tasted and it was amazing!

When we got home from the winery....this happened. A storm came through and the wind throught the valley brought this down on the porch. It's a crabapple tree.
I have never seen so many apples in my life.
These are just the apples from the porch.
We picked up apples for hours!!
Lazy Dog! I'm going to miss his SO much when he and Dave go back to Clemson on Sunday.
Man's Best Friend. These two guys have my heart!
Me and Dave :)
We got home on Sunday.
There was serious drama from my parents when I got home.
I need to get a job ASAP so I can be independent again.
I spent all day long looking for job yesterday in the area and I am going to Spartanburg and Greenville tomorrow to deliver my resumes face-to-face with a human being. I think this online application stuff is a joke. I applied to one position at 3:40 on Tuesday and got a rejection email at 3:48.
Oh....and my dog Max had another bad seizure the other night. I didn't see it but my parents saw it and they said it was horrifying. Poor doggy!
I love the pictures of the apples--they look so delicious!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, post college parent drama. That's why you can never move back home. Maybe you can find a job doing something (anything!) so you can rent an apartment/room. Even a waitress job in Charlotte would earn enough money for an apartment (I did it for years) and would get you out of there. I hope you get a job soon!!!!
Yep, it's time for a job, and hopefully Clemson is no too far away. What a crazy mess to come home to! I left one when we went to the lake on Saturday. Woke up to my new sliding glass door totally fractured and ready to crash on to the floor. Still not sure what happened, but we put up plastic, and it all fell in a neat pile while we were gone. Good luck on your job search!
